If you've been trying to fill the massive hole the Congress Theater meltdown made in your heart, you'll be happy to hear that a brand new concert venue will be opening right down the street. Concord Music Hall is slated to open this coming Thursday, August 1, with a big bang.

Concord Music Hall is bringing in Adam Ant to play their inaugural show. Concord Music Hall replaces V-Live before it, and will showcase a handful of diverse group of acts over the next several months. (Gogol Bordello, Boys Noize, The Misfits, and Less Than Jake to name a few).

While Chicago has plenty of music venues scattered about different neighborhoods, Concord Music Hall boasts capacity of 700 to 1,600 (!) concertgoers--more than any other neighborhood venues like Subterranean, Empty Bottle, and Logan Square Auditorium.

Per the Chicago Tribune, Concord Music Hall's owners Lucas King, Jeff Callahan, and Nick Karounos definitely felt a certain affinity with the neighborhood, which served as their primary drive in opening the space:

"We felt that given the location and the room capacity that it was a very attractive thing for all of us," King said. "I don't know if there is a gap (in the market). It's all about the neighborhood for us."

We're definitely excited to welcome the new venue into the neighborhood and eager to see what other acts roll through in the future, but we can't help but wonder what this means for the Congress Theater.

The confirmed concert lineup (so far) at Concord Music Hall is as follows:

8.1 - Adam Ant
