This year's "Downtown Sound" Series at Millennium Park comes to a riotous conclusion tonight with Midwestern hip-hop goddesses Dessa from Minneapolis and local sensation Psalm One. Psalm One opens. The show at Pritzker Pavilion starts at 6:30 p.m.
The weather has been neither wet nor hot lately, but you can still get your fix of late summer fun at Hideout tonight with a screening of David Wain's 2001 cult classic Wet Hot American Summer at 8 p.m. The screening is a fundraiser for Chicago Zine Fest 2014. The first 20 people through the door will receive a 2013 Chicago Zine Fest t-shirt (designed by local artist Laura Berger). (1354 W. Wabansia, doors open at 7 p.m.)
If you have an event for inclusion in "Pencil This In," please contact Tankboy (for A&E-related listings), Anthony (for tastings, dinners and food and drink-related events) or tips[at]chicagoist[dot]com.
