Good Morning, everyone and welcome to the final days of July. After a cacophony of gray skies and light drizzle (at least on parts of the South Side) Sunday turned into one of those trapped in amber days. But the cool temps have been setting new weather records across the area. Saturday's official high of 65 degrees was the coolest "high" temp recorded in Chicago for that date and the mild weather hasn't brought any rain with it for area farmers.
As for today's forecast, things will warm slightly with the mercury expected to reach the mid-70s with mostly sunny skies and some clouds. Clouds will roll in overnight bringing with them a chance for some showers Tuesday afternoon.
