Baseball players didn't always sign contracts that could secure their financial well-being the rest of their lives. Back in the day, they had to work hard in the offseason in odd jobs to pay the bills.

One thing athletes always had at their disposal was doing commercials. Case in point, these commercials from 1953 featuring the Chicago White Sox shilling for Gillette disposable razors. Here are videos featuring shortstop Luis Aparicio, manager Marty Marion and announcer Al Helfer. Gotta say that Aparicio displays a nice three-pass shave technique. Que Suave!!
