It's possible that there is no opening we are anticipating more than Three Dots and a Dash, the new Tiki bar from mixologist Paul McGee. The Lettuce Entertain You-backed spot has been delayed a few times, reportedly while McGee got all of the drinks just right. Now, we may have an opening date.

Just for a little background: McGee left the Whistler, the cocktail bar in Logan Square that he opened in 2008, to become the head of all things booze for Lettuce Entertain You. He opened Bub City with them in River North and last year LEYE announced he'd be helming a new tiki bar. McGee bought some of the original tiki statues from Trader Vic's and named the bar after a Don the Beachcomber drink from the 1940s.

Now, in response to some Twitter-prodding from fans, McGee may have revealed the moment when you can get your tiki fix.

This makes sense, since we've heard through our own channels that the friends and family preview for Three Dots is tonight.

A rep from LEYE confirmed the tweet, but indicated that she knew of no official opening date. Uh huh. Our suggestion: Drop by tomorrow evening—you never know what you'll find.
