  • The Cook County Democratic Party endorsed Pat Quinn for Governor Friday. Challenger Bill Daley didn't actively seek the nomination. [Tribune]
  • Seven were killed, including four from Merrilville, in a three-vehicle crash late Thursday night on Interstate 65 in Jasper County, Ind. [Sun-Times]
