Former Chicagoista and Chicago Elevated tour guide mastermind Margaret Hicks and her husband, professional photographer and videographer John Eiberger, have long documented their love of travel and where they’re spending their frequent flyer miles on their always entertaining blog Lost and Found Travel.

The couple recently decided to bring their wanderlust within Chicago’s city limits by embarking on a project where they sample food from each of Chicago’s 28 sister cities. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper than flying to Ghana and Japan, that’s for sure.

Hicks and Eiberger have selected a dish from each of Chicago’s 28 sister cities from Accra, Ghana to Warsaw, Poland and, using suggestions polled via social media, have selected a restaurant in which to sample each dish. To help the couple in their project, Chevrolet has donated a Sonic for them to drive as they go from spot to spot, eating their way through the project and vamping all the way.

The first video debuts Aug. 23 on lostandfoundtravel.com.
