Enjoy Ciders And Sliders At Jerry's Wicker Park Aug. 26

The weekend forecast takes a sees the mercury flirting with 90 degrees Sunday before we settle in for another stretch of high temps and humidity levels starting Monday. On days when the weather has you whimpering for air conditioning and cool beverages, few things taste better than a cold cider and a fresh burger.

Jerry’s Wicker Park has an event scheduled for Aug. 26 featuring ciders from Virtue and Vander Mill, arguably the Midwest’s two best cideries. They’ll be joined by Washington State’s Tieton Cider Works, Wandering Aengus Ciderworks of Oregon, New York’s Original Sin cidery and Ace from California. Each of these cider makers is worth their weight in fermented fruit juice. Jerry’s will also be serving up small sandwiches and projecting obscure science fiction films all night long.

The festivities begin at 7 p.m.
