Pencil This In: 'American Variety 2' At Haymarket Pub & Brewery; Michigan Beer Night At Emporium Arcade Bar

Alison Connelly and Carolyn Shoemaker are back at Haymarket Pub & Brewery with American Variety 2 with Alison & Carolyn 8;30 p.m. tonight. Connelly and Shoemaker bring their own twist to the variety show format with song, dance, sketches and whatever else they feel like performing. American Variety 2 with Alison & Carolyn runs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m and Saturdays at 4 p.m. through September 25 at Haymarket's Drinking & Writing Theater. (737 W. Beer

It's a night of Michigan beers at Emporium Arcade Bar Aug. 29. Nine Michigan breweries and cideries including Greenbush, New Holland, Brewery Vivant, Dark Horse, Bell's, Founder's, Jolly Pumpkin, Arcadia and Vander Mill will have regular and rare selections available for helping you set a new personal high score in Galaga.
