The Lincoln Lodge, one of the city's best-loved independent comedy showcases, just announced that the brilliantly manic Eddie Pepitone, star of the highly regarded documentary The Bitter Buddha and staple of live episodes of WTF with Marc Maron, will appear for a run of shows on Sept. 27 and 28. For each of the four shows (at 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. both nights) three local comedians will join Pepitone, helping the Lodge celebrate the premiere of its fourteenth season in style.

This year, Lincoln Lodge has begun expanding its reach beyond regular standup showcases, hosting a weekly storytelling show hosted by Chicago comic Sean Flannery called The Blackout Diaries, and recently took on the always-entertaining Double Feature, a hybrid standup show and short film festival produced by four of the city's most unique up-and-coming comedians.

Eddie Pepitone appears Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Lincoln Lodge, 4008 N. Lincoln. Tickets on sale now.
