As we mentioned first thing this morning, CTA and Pace are rolling out the shared fare system Ventra across their transit systems today. It's caught many off guard, angered others, while still more are sort of blasé about the whole thing (And remember, readers, you don't have to switch to Ventra immediately. Unless CTA happens to discontinue your Chicago Card.)

We monitored Twitter most of the day and put together a storify of the good, bad, and ugly of Ventra's first day, and counting our blessings we work from home.
