Video: Towering Waterspouts Put On A Show On Lake Michigan

While the wind has picked up here in Chicago over the course of the day over in Kenosha, Wisc. waterspouts have been impressively dancing on Lake Michigan.

The weather here, with thunderstorms in parts of the greater Chicago area and cool winds from the northeast coming in contact with the warm water of the lake, make ideal conditions for waterspouts to form. Kenosha News reporter Diane Giles was on hand to film the waterspouts and the commentary from her and other observers is as entertaining as the funnels.

Thankfully, the waterspouts didn't touch land, according to Kenosha Police Lt. Brad Kemen.
