If you're a sausage fan—let's face it, who isn't?—you have to head to Daley Plaza this week. The Wurst Festival, Chicago's first sausage gathering entirely made from sustainable meat, pops up today through Friday, and you won't want to miss it.

Sponsored by FamilyFarmed and Red Meat Market, two groups that know a thing or two about good meat, the Wurst Festival brings together vendors like Big Fork Bacon Sausage, West Loop Salumi, Gunthorp Farms, Cook's Bison ranch and more for an unforgettable menu of sausages. Seriously, check out this list. There are more brats than you can possibly get through in three days. Even better, the selection will rotate—a perfect excuse to head back over and over and over.

There will also be beer from Goose Island, sauerkraut and other fermented things from The Brinery and wine by Fox Valley Winery. There will be cooking demos, sausage-making demos, live music and more.

If you're looking for one last summer festival, this might be it. Stop by Daley Plaza between noon and 8 p.m. today or 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and get your sausage on.
