Photos: Joe Satriani Shreds The Chicago Theatre

With his wraparound shades and bald head, Joe Satriani more closely resembles the aliens he conjured on his Ibanez electric guitars nearly 30 years ago when he broke through with the album Surfing with the Alien. Satriani has developed a rabid fan base since then with his dive bomb whammy bar effects and solid songwriting.
