Jamie Moyer
Jamie Moyer isn't letting age stop him from from attempting to continue his Major League Baseball playing career. The journeyman southpaw, who started his career with the Cubs in 1986, is trying to extend his career at the age of 50 by learning to throw a knuckleball from pitchers Charlie Hough and Tim Wakefield.

Moyer recently wrote a book, Just Tell Me I Can't and will discuss the book and what he's learned over his career with ChicagoSide publisher Jonathan Eig 7 p.m. tonight at Revolution Brewing's Logan Square brewpub (2333 N. Milwaukee Ave.). This is a ticketed event. Purchase your tickets here or get them at the door. Moyer will sell copies of his book at a $5 discount.
