We've mentioned the pitmaster dinners at Barn & Company before. The monthly dinners are one of the best dining deals in the city for the cost and the quality of the food being turned out of the kitchen of Gary Wiviott and his staff. You can eat as much as you want at these family-style dinners and still walk out of the Lincoln Park BBQ joint with leftovers.

Wiviott has a "pigskin pitmaster" dinner set for 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 that we highly recommend reserving a spot. The food will be paired with beers from Brooklyn Brewery and you can get your fill of pig skin crisps with melted cheese and Rotel, "Pile-on" smoked potato skins, "50-yard pass" porchetta and "touchdown chili" with hickory-smoked pork.

The cost of this three-course dinner is $50 and, given the volume of food Barn & Company will serve, should be worth more. RSVP to events@barnandcompany.com or call 773-832-4000.

Barn & Company is located at 950 W. Wrightwood.
