Baker & Nosh has been serving up delicious breads, pastries and sandwiches since they opened last year. To everyone who said you couldn't make a French Bakery successful in Uptown: Baker & Nosh has done so well that they are expanding into the neighboring storefront.

B&N isn't just expanding their space, they're adding some new dishes. Most notably, gelato and Italian Ice from Zarlengo's in Chicago Heights. To celebrate the expansion, they'll be giving away samples of the new gelato for free this Thursday, Sept. 26, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. In addition to the new gelati and ices, they'll also be expanding the meat and cheese selections, serving shakes and mixing up fresh salads.

While you're snarfing up the free desserts, check out their new fall menu, which includes pumpkin coffee cake, bacon and chive asiago scones, pumpkin carmel lattes and sour cherry muffins made with fruit from Seedling farms.

Baker & Nosh is at 1303 W. Wilson Ave.
