Two more men were charged in connection with last week’s shooting in a Back of the Yards park that injured 13, including a 3-year-old who was shot in the face.

Bryon “Lord” Champ, 21, and Kewane Gatewood, 20, were each charged with three counts of attempted murder and three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm. Police believe the shooting was retaliation for an earlier shooting where one of the men was grazed by a bullet.

Police arrested two other men in connection with the shooting Sunday night in an abandoned building near the scene of the crime. Tabari Young and Brad Jett, both 22, were charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. Young is believed to be the gunman. Champ has a police record and is a documented street gang member.

Police have scheduled a news conference this morning to discuss the arrests and the case.
