2013_9_26_GCMJunior.jpg Do you want a famous chef to come to your house and teach you to cook? Maybe you've always wanted to visit several local distilleries, all in one day? Brew your own beer at a brand new brewery? All of these experiences (and many many more) can be yours, courtesy of the Green City Market Junior Board.

In connection with their latest event, "A (Mostly) Veggie Affair" (which you should buy tickets to immediately), the junior board is running an online auction during the next week. These are experiences that you can't buy anywhere else, specially donated by chefs who care about the market.

Here are some of our favorites:

- Learn to brew at Jared Rouben's new brewery, Moody Tongue Brewing Company, and enjoy dinner at nearby Nightwood.

- Take a private cruise with Chef Mathias Merges with food and cocktails from Yusho and Billy Sunday.

- Enjoy dinner for two at El Ideas, complete with a mixed case of wine and free transportation to and from the restaurant.

- Tour three different booze-making sites in one day, Koval, CH Distillery and City Winery, with transportation included.

- Rent the entire patio at Honey Butter Fried Chicken for a happy hour with your friends.

- Experience an in-home garden consultation from plant maven (and Chicagoist garden helper) Sara Gasbarra.

There are so many more we can barely contain ourselves. Bidding is open now, and most of the items are hovering around $2-400. All of the proceeds go to support the market's LINK matching program.
