Static Jacks play buzzy tunes full of fun and energy. Sure, that seems like a trite description but in fact it's a testament to just how easy they make it all seem. We admit to being unfamiliar with these guys until recently but, once we heard they were from New Jersey. we understood where that undercurrent of gritty craftsmanship originated.
Much of their music has a definite Midwestern flair familiar to residents of Minneapolis and Chicago and not totally foreign to the straight-ahead approach of other Boss New Jersey rockers, so the songs sit well with us.
