Curbside Splendor brings back its "Salon Splendor" series 9 p.m. tonight at Hungry Brain. Featured readers include Charles Blackstone, managing editor at Bookslut and author of the forthcoming Vintage Attraction; Lee Sandlin, former writer for the Chicago Reader and author of The Distancers, Storm Kings and Wicked River; and Dmitry Samarov, artist and author of Hack. Doors open at 8 p.m. and books by the authors will be available to purchase. (2319 W. Belmont Ave.)
