MIrabell became a place for the Chicagoist softball team to lick our collective wounds after a tough loss on the softball fields this summer and we had a lot of wounds since we didn't win a game. The combination of winning food, wood paneled walls and a tree-shaded beer garden make this German restaurant and bar a gem among rhinestones.
Head to Mirabell today and tomorrow for their Oktoberfest celebration featuring one of the best wiener schnitzels in town, plenty of German beer and music by The Four Star Brass Band and their New Orleans-influenced style. If you can't make it this weekend, no worry. Mirabell's Oktoberfest runs through Oct. 26. (3454 W. Addison St.)
