Remember a couple of months ago when everyone in Chicago started drooling at the news that Chef Ina Pinkney, the owner of Ina's and the Breakfast Queen of Chicago, was releasing a cookbook? Well, the moment has come, and it's time to start buying.

Pinkney, who announced her upcoming retirement last month, told us that the book, entitled Taste Memories: Recipes for Life and Breakfast, arrived last Friday. It's available for sale right now for $34 at Ina's (if you ask nicely, we're sure she would sign it for you) and if her facebook feed is any indication, half of Chicago has stopped in to pay homage to the Queen and get their picture taken. We're sure they rushed right home and started making heavenly hots.

Starting on October 10, the book will be available through Pinkney's website and at Women and Children First bookstore in Andersonville. We'd be astonished if no publisher picks this one up, so if you want a really-for-real original edition, buy it now.
