It's October, and that means that it's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Restaurants and bars throughout Chicago are holding events, running specials and trying to raise money for research. Here are some of our favorite ways that you can go pink.

Coming up on Thursday, Allium is going pink. From 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., enjoy Laurent-Perrier Rose Champagne, a special Pink A’Peel cocktail, passed appetizers and mini manicures. The suggested donation for this glam evening is $35, with proceeds going to the Lynn Sage Foundation.

The Gibson's restaurant group is running drink specials for the entire month of October. At Gibson's and Hugo's enjoy Cosmos for the Cure, with 100% of the $12 cost going to the Lynn Sage Foundation. At Luxbar, 312 will be on sale for $3.12, with all the proceeds going to Lynn Sage.

During October, Roka Akor will be serving a pink drink of it's own. Proceeds from the "Decoding Annie Parker" cocktail (which includes Eiko Fuji Sake, Quinta do Tedo, lemon juice, raspberries and strawberries) will go to the Editha House Rooms in the Illinois Medican District Guest House, an affordable lodging-place for cancer patients and their families.

Chicago Q is donating 5% of all Rose wine sales for the month of October to the Lynn Sage Foundation, so go drink some pink.

Buy a signature striped pink tin at Garrett popcorn and they'll donate 10% of the proceeds to the Silver Lining Foundation, a non-profit that provides free mammograms and screenings.

Love the monkey bread at Kanela? During October, $1 from every order will be donated to Bright Pink.

Firecakes will be making a special donut for October. The Pink Donut, a yeast donut with strawberry vanilla icing and white chocolate pearls, costs $2.37 and 50% of each sale goes to the Lynn Sage Foundation.

At Franklin Tap, they'll have a weekly pumpkin beer special each week in October. A portion of the proceeds go to In Good Taste.

Every restaurant in the One Off Hospitality Group (avec, Blackbird, Big Star, Violet Hour, Publican, Publican Quality Meats) will have a special dish in October, and $1 from each sale will go to the Lynn Sage Foundation. Drink rose at avec, quaff an Old Fashioned at Violet Hour or chow down on veal breast hash at the Publican.
