This Isn't Your Average PB&J

Elaine's Coffee Call in the Hotel Lincoln has been one of our favorite ports of call since it opened a little over a year ago. It's the perfect spot for a quick coffee before hitting Green City Market, a beautiful spot for a mid-afternoon date and, if you don't get into J. Parker on a busy evening, you can always console yourself with a pastry. But we'd never actually eaten a single thing there.

Thanks to Steve Dolinsky, we will now. He tipped us off to the PB&J at Elaine's. It's not a peanut butter and jelly, not exactly. It's a pecan butter and jam, and right now it's made with blueberry and raspberry preserves. The whole thing goes into the panini press, and out comes your childhood. Except a little bit grown up.
