Do This: Pilot Light Back To School Block Party

By Anthony Todd in Food on Oct 3, 2013 5:40PM

2013_10_3_PilotLight.png This Friday, at Publican Quality Meats, an epic foodie party is set to explode. The event, a benefit for Pilot Light, has a star lineup of chefs, a wonderful auction and live music. Why wouldn't you go?

Pilot Light's mission is to help integrate culinary education into schools to help kids make healthy life choices. You, however, are mature enough to make unhealthy life choices, like the choice to binge on food from the likes of:

Christine Cikowski and Joshua Kulp (Sunday Dinner Club)
Jon DuBois (Green Zebra)
Jason Hammel (Lula Café)
Paula Haney and Allison Stout (Hoosier Mama Pie Company)
Sandra Holl (Floriole)
Paul Kahan and Justin Large (avec, The Publican)
Charlie McKenna (Lillie's Q)
Matthias Merges (Yusho)
Sarah Mispagel (Nightwood)
Ryan Poli (Tavernita, Little Market Brasserie)
John Vermiglio (Billy Sunday)

We're particularly excited about the silent auction. The best item? A "Golden Ticket" to Big Star that lets you and four guests jump the line. There's also a private party in Rick Bayless's garden and a BBQ run by Chef Paul Kahan. Definitely worth bidding on.

Tickets are $175, and some are still available. Buy them online now. The party starts at 6:00 p.m.
