Photos And Video: 'Transformers 4' Sets Off More Explosions At Abandoned Chicago Grain Silos

Film director Michael Bay returned to the abandoned Santa Fe grain silos along Damen Avenue on the Southwest side Wednesday for filming of Transformers: Age of Extinction. The site, long a favorite of filmmakers, is being used as a stand-in for Hong Kong in the upcoming film.

Bay promised to bring "the mother of all explosions" to the site but filmgoers familiar with his work know to expect a lot of flash and noise with little in the way of substance.

Transformers: Age of Extinction is scheduled for a June 27, 2014 release.
