A suburban animal rescue facility in Niles is asking for help after a school bus crashed into their building Wednesday afternoon, rendering the facility unusable and forcing the organization to quickly find foster homes and temporary space for their animals. Thankfully no one was hurt and all the animals are accounted for. Authorities have stated that the building will most likely have to be torn down due to structural issues. Wright-Way Rescue has set up a donation page to help with costs. They also have a page if you are able to foster pets. They currently have homes for all the animals that were at the shelter Wednesday, but they are expecting more animals to be brought in from their facility in southern Illinois soon.

If you are wanting to add a new member to your own family, Wright-Way Rescue will be hosting a special adoption and donation event this weekend. Over 75 animals will be arriving from their southern facility this weekend. The event will be hosted in a tent in the parking lot of the former adoption center, located at 7136 W. Touhy Ave in Niles. Some of the animals up for adoption this weekend are currently on their Facebook page. Feel free to go check them out if you need a dose of adorable cuteness. If one of them catches your eyes, you can head to the adoption event this weekend during the following times:

Friday October 4 from 3-8 p.m.
Saturday October 5 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday October 6 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
