Derrick Rose, on Return to Basketball: "Felt Great, Normal"

After returning to the basketball court for a preseason game, his first bit of NBA action since he injured his knee 17 months ago, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose (or whoever runs his social media, if we're being honest here) released a simple, sweet statement on his Facebook page calling his return "great, natural."

Rose scored 13 points in 20 minutes of play against the Indiana Pacers, ultimately helping the Bulls eek out a 82-76 preseason victory.

Here's Rose's statement:

It felt great, normal. I’d been preparing myself for this moment for the last year and a half now. Knowing how blessed I am to be stepping back on the court, especially with these guys who are so dedicated to making this team better. I’m fortunate to be on this team and blessed to be in this organization and playing for Thibs and this coaching staff.

It's just one game, but it's undoubtedly great to have Rose back in the fold.
