See Kartemquin Films' New Muhammad Ali Documentary For Free

Kartemquin Films' The Trials of Muhammad Ali provides the most in-depth look yet at Muhammad Ali's conversion to Islam, his involvement in the Nation of Islam and his conscientious objection to the Vietnam War that robbed him of the prime years of his boxing career.
I've seen the film and can say unequivocally that it is another solid movie from the legendary Chicago documentary film house. (Chicagoist will have a detailed review of the film and an interview with its director Bill Siegal later this week.)
The Trials of Muhammad Ali is now being screened in cities across the country and will hit the Music Box Theatre for an extended run starting Nov. 8.
If you're interested in seeing the film before its run at the Music Box, Kartemquin and the Chicago Urban League have partnered for a free screening of the film at The DuSable Museum of African American History 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
Space is limited, so register here or call 773-947-0600 ext. 255 for more information.
