Police investigating a shooting on the Northwest side Monday night are looking for leads after the victim said he was too drunk to remember how he was shot. Either the victim was three sheets to the wind intoxicated or this is the most unique case of “no snitching” we’ve ever read.

The incident occurred on the 5100 block of West Dickens in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood around 11 p.m. Police found the victim with a gunshot wound in his leg, according to police spokeswoman Officer Amina Greer. The victim was transported to Our Lady of Resurrection Medical Center and stabilized but was “intoxicated” and told police he couldn’t remember how he was shot, let alone who shot him.

Maybe if police got the man drunk he may remember.
