Today's Weather: Shake Off The Chill

Skilling Central's forecast for today notes the expected high of 57 degrees will mark the first time since late May the afternoon high fails to reach the 60-degree mark. Here at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters I'm wearing flannel and have the fireplace in my front room roaring. All I need now is some canned soup and a Smith-Corona typewriter with a sticky "s" key and I can begin writing an anti-technology manifesto. Here is the rest of the forecast: a chance for some light rain throughout the day from the fine gray skies overhead and sharp northwest winds piercing through the mild air. The extended forecast shows a brief respite Friday but otherwise this weather is here to stay.
