Crumbs Debuts Girl Scout Cookie Cupcakes, Saves World

By Melissa Wiley in Food on Oct 17, 2013 7:45PM

Girl Scouts serve one purpose on this planet and one purpose only—to peddle cookies or co-opt their elders to do the same. If they gave a hoot about the greater good, they would stop with the campfire antics already and start supplying the public with a steady stream of thin mints all year long. But however many knots they may be able to tie, they're not what we call good listeners and our cupboard is emptied far too early of its stock of samoas.

But hark! Crumbs hears our pain. The cupcake chain is now featuring a Girl Scout cupcake collection, including caramel and coconut, chocolate peanut butter cream, peanut butter cookie, and the nonpareil thin mint. For $4.50, it’s a steep price to pay for a single cookie wedged in half an inch of icing. But until the Girl Scouts get their act together or we start buying seriously in bulk, it’s the best we can do.
