Monday Afternoon Diversion: Signing Up For Obamacare

With the government shutdown and the debt limit behind us (for now, at least), a weary nation turns its eyes to the Affordable Care Act, the single largest overhaul of America's health insurance system in the nation's history.

As President Obama urged patience for patients and stressed that Obamacare is a law and not just a website, one blogger took the time to try to enroll in both a government operated insurance marketplace and a private health insurance website.

While it's too soon to tell for sure what kind of impact the ACA will have on both the cost of and access to health insurance, we can see a side-by-side comparison of how signing up for coverage works under the new law.
