At least once a week, someone evangelizes the glories of Costco to us. Bulk foods, good prices, fair labor practices; what's not to love? The one problem: we don't have a membership. Yeah, it's easy to get, but that one extra step is enough to throw us off. Luckily, Instacart has come to the rescue.
The grocery delivery service launched in Chicago a few weeks ago, and has already added several grocery chains. The big news last week: Costco is now on the list. All of your favorite bulk items are available and delivery can take as little as two hours. How does it work? Instacart uses its own Costco membership for the transaction, so you don't have to think about it.
In addition to the new service, Instacart also covers much more of the city now than it did at launch. The area delivers as far north as Devon Avenue all the way down to 35th Street.
Even better, the first hundred Chicagoist readers to use the service get a special bonus. Click here and Instacart will automatically apply a $10 credit to your bill. Free groceries! Plus, you get free shipping on your first order. Start bulk buying now.
