Zillow released its list of the best cities in America for children to trick or treat on Halloween and Chicago, despite making national headlines for its murder rate and violent crime, placed seventh on the list.

The real estate website said it "takes numbers seriously, even when it comes to trick or treating" and based its index on its Home Value index; population density; WalkScore indexes and local crime data. This can be read as Zillow being as hyper-segregated as Chicago proper because the top neighborhoods to go trick-or-treating are Ravenswood, Sheffield/DePaul, Edison Park, Roscoe Village and Dunning (which Zillow calls "Belmont Heights"). Dunning is an inspired choice given its history.

So if you're looking to take your candy hunt on the road this evening, now you know where to go.
