These days nostalgia is all the rage. Ten-year album anniversary tours seem to be more popular than tours supporting new releases. Less Than Jake has been there and back. In twenty years they've played old stuff, new stuff, received praise and dealt with criticism.

But while other bands struggle to move past their "classic" albums, LTJ are still going strong. Sure, you'll probably hear fans singing along louder at their Chicago show tomorrow night to songs like "Gainesville Rock City" than tracks off their latest effort See The Light, but come on, that album has only been out for three days!

If it's a throwback to the "good old days" you're looking for, See The Light is a successful attempt to recreate some of Less Than Jake's most favorite releases. Heck, the intro to "The Loudest Songs" could almost be confused with that of "Al's War" if you weren't listening close enough. Plus, I have never been to an LTJ concert that didn't satisfy my needs for fan favorites.

Old meets new once again this Saturday Nov. 16 at Concord Music Hall when the Gainsville ska-punks headline alongside political punk rockers Anti-Flag and newcomers Masked Intruder and Get Dead. The best news? It's an early show. Doors open at 6 p.m. and admit it, if the word "Pezcore" means anything to you, I know you're happy to be in bed by midnight.

Tickets are still on sale for the Fat Tour 2013 for $22.
