The Bulls stumbled early but held on to beat Charlotte at the United Center Monday night. Chicago led 26-21 after one period but cold shooting and poor ball handling allowed the Bobcats to head into halftime with a four-point lead. The Bulls started the second half scoring six of the first eight points to retake the lead and slowly pull away.

Luol Deng led all scorers with 21 points and hit 10 of 12 free throws. Jimmy Butler added 14 points and Carlos Boozer had a double double with 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Bulls outscored Charlotte 22-8 at the charity stripe and outrebounded Charlotte 54-44. The Bobcats were led by Jeff Taylor's 20 points off the bench. Gerald Henderson added 18 points. The Bulls have now won five games straight as they head out on their annual circus trip. They travel to Denver Thursday to take on the Nuggets.
