Bulls fans are hoping for the best later today as they wait for the results of an MRI on Derrick Rose, who injured his right knee in the third quarter of Friday night's game in Portland. Rose pulled up lame on a pick and roll, and had to be assisted back to the dressing room. Rose, as everyone is well aware, missed all of last season rehabbing an injury to his left knee suffered in the 2012 NBA playoffs
Rose's injury overshadowed what was shaping up to be his best game of the season. He scored 20 points and his play on both offense and defense helped Chicago build a 21-point lead and end the first half with a 59-44 lead. But the Blazers, winners of eight straight, roared back with 48.8 percent shooting in the second half.
Wesley Matthews scored 28 points for Portland. Damian Lillard scored 20 points, 14 in the second half and Robin Lopez tallied a double double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Carlos Boozer scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Luol Deng had a double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds as the Bulls fell to 0-2 on their "circus trip."
