The frigid winds and colder temps this past weekend was the not-so-subtle reminder that Chicago winter is here to stay for a spell. SmallBar Division is taking this knowledge in stride and instead celebrating one of our favorite winter beer styles; stouts. Their second annual Stout Blowout is a special tapping event that puts a spotlight on some of the best stouts available in Chicago. According to SmallBar, they’ve been saving some of these brews for months just for this special night.

Some of the beers listed so far include offerings from Goose Island, Founders, Solemn Oath, Two Brothers and Three Floyds. And the variations run the gamut, from Imperial to Oatmeal and a lot of Barrel-Aged.

Head to SmallBar Division (2049 W. Division) tomorrow night, Nov. 26 from 6 p.m. onward to fulfill all your stout dreams at Stout Blowout.

If you have an event for inclusion in "Pencil This In," please contact Tankboy (for A&E-related listings), Anthony (for tastings, dinners and food and drink-related events) or tips[at]chicagoist[dot]com.
