Skilling Central says today's forecast is spurred by a "reinforcing surge of arctic air" which seems like an odd choice of words until you remember you probably took a piping hot shower this morning and are within reach of a hot beverage right now. In short: it's cold right now. The high is expected to reach the upper 20s while northwest winds may have you playing hooky from that planned half-day.
If you're like me and hitting the road to visit family for Thanksgiving, be careful, especially if you're driving east to Indiana and Michigan. There's a possibility for lake effect snow that will slowly end overnight but could result in accumulations between six and 14 inches of snow.
