When Begyle Brewing launched their Kickstarter project last year they promised to create a new kind of brewery model—a beer CSA, or a "Community Supported Brewery" (CSB). It was clear from the outset that this part of the business would take a while to get going, since they had to brew some beer and make some money first. But after a year of making some fabulous beers, it looks like the CSB portion is about to come online.

Starting 4 p.m. Wednesday both live at the brewery and online, subscriptions will start for Begyle's CSB. Details are a little fuzzy, but it looks like the equivalent of a wine club. You pay up front (in this case, $77 for six months or $135 for a year) and get beer. How much beer? It's not clear yet, but given that Begyle is one of the best-priced of all the local breweries, we suspect you'll get your money's worth.

We'll update with more information, but assuming they'll pour a growler per month for six months, it breaks down to about $13 per growler. That's a good deal and if you're a real fan of the brewery, it'll definitely be a reminder to always try something new.

Remember, you won't start getting your growlers immediately. Growler fills will start once their taproom and retail space opens, which now looks like it will be sometime in January.
