Doughnut Vault Named Best Doughnut In America

Some sweet news for Chicago doughnut fans. Doughnut Vault has been crowned the best doughnuts in America according to The Daily Meal. In fact we technically can be considered the doughnut capital since we have the highest doughnut showing on the list with four. New York and Seattle aren’t even close behind with two top doughnuts a piece. Clearly our city knows a thing or two about fried dough.

While Doughnut Vault topped the list with their plain glazed (although personally we prefer the chestnut glazed), other local shops included Do-Rite with their chocolate glazed at number 13, Dat Donuts with their plain glazed at number 16 and Dinkel’s Bakery with their chocolate cake donut at number 24.

We’re glad to see our local favorites made the list as well as some reader favorites that were mentioned in our comments. We’re just happy Dunkin was nowhere near this list. Head out and grab a local doughnut today to celebrate our culinary victory.
