Support Benton House At Maria's Community Grant Night

We don’t really need an excuse to go to Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar. After all, it’s got an excellent selection of beer and cocktails, good tunes and a toasty enclosed patio. But the Bridgeport watering hole still puts in the effort to lure us in with compelling events, such as Community Grant Night.

The purpose of Community Grant Night is to raise money for worthwhile projects by local artists, neighborhood organizations and valuable social groups. The concept is plain and simple: You order a special cocktail or beer and then Maria's gives 100% of the proceeds to the specified grant recipient.

The next upcoming installment of Community Grant Night is Dec. 10. between 7 and 11 p.m., and this time around all proceeds of drink sales will go to the Benton House Food Pantry, which teams up with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to feed the hungry in the Bridgeport neighborhood. The more you drink, the more funding they receive, so go crazy.

Community Grant Night is Tuesday, December 10 at Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar, 960 W 31st, 7-10 p.m.
