For the love of local music and Malort, Chicago Singles Club presents its second showcase on Saturday, Dec. 14. The free event featuring Vamos, My Dad, and Panda Riot plugging in starting at 10:30 p.m. at Cole’s Bar (2338 N. Milwaukee Ave.).

Each month, online record label Chicago Singles Club produces an original recording of an independent Chicago artist. In addition to releasing exclusive digital singles and artist video interviews, the music publication kicked off a quarterly showcase featuring independent Chicago artists last summer. Check out footage from the August showcase featuring KSRA, Swimsuit Addition, and Geronimo here.

CSC’s second showcase features the raucous skuzz punk of Vamos, My Dad’s gritty math rock bolstered by three drummers, and the pop-minded shoegazey melodies of Panda Riot. With free admission, you have no excuse not to get out and support Chicago's independent artists—and now have an excellent reason to duck out of that abysmal ugly sweater party.
