The Pistons outscored Chicago 24-9 in the third quarter and took advantage of a depleted Bulls roster. Taj Gibson started in place of Luol Deng and played with an eight-man rotation all game. Brandon Jennings led all scorers with 33 points for Detroit as the Pistons evened their record at 10-10.

In college basketball scores, Loyola defeated UIC in Horizon League play 73-70 and Northwestern defeated Western Michigan 51-35.
