Divvy Adds Candy Cane-Striped Bike To Its Fleet

DIVVY Bikes users should be on the lookout for “Holidivvy,” a fully reflective candy cane-striped bike added to the fleet in time for the holiday season. The design was created by Spoken Art, a local artist collective based in Irving Park specializing in making killer reflective bike decals to promote safe ridership.

DIVVY is going to brave the Chicago winter along with the rest of us and Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a statement the “Holidivvy” is intended to encourage safe riding.

“The HoliDivvy bike will be a fun and cheerful way for Chicagoans to use Divvy bike sharing during the holiday season. Even in cold weather, Divvy remains a transportation option for holiday shoppers and festive revelers,” said Mayor Emanuel. “I wish all Divvy riders a safe and warm holiday season.”

The bike will be in Divvy’s fleet until New Year’s Day. If you find the bike and post a photo of it online with the hashtag #HOLIDIVVY you could win a gift certificate valid for an annual DIVVY Membership or a limited edition DIVVY beanie.
