Pencil This In: Music Box Theatre's Alternative Christmas Double Feature
By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 13, 2013 6:20PM
The Music Box Theatre's annual holiday double feature of It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas plays to a packed house every year. Not everyone wants to hiss at Old Man Potter or laugh hysterically at Rosemary Clooney's solo spot in a Manhattan nightclub (the inspiration for Madonna's "Material Girl" video).
If you're looking for an alternative the Music Box has you covered Dec. 17 with a double feature of Scrooged and Bad Santa. Terry Zwigoff's foul-mouthed holiday comedy starring Billy Bob Thornton in the title role screens 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Bill Murray surrealist and dark take on A Christmas Carol screens at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for single feature and $15 for a double feature online or at the door.
