Will we have a White Christmas next week? That's still to be determined but the leadup to Christmas Day will be gray, dreary, sloppy and full of all kinds of precipitation all weekend. It's amazing how a little piss drizzle can wash away a buildup of snow; the dibs threat level is now green and if Friday is your garbage collection day start hauling the cardboard boxes and miscellaneous detritus you've been using to save your parking spaces to the alleys now.

Today's forecast calls for a mix of rain and freezing rain that should let up by late afternoon, along with thick clouds overhead and a high temperature in the mid-30s. The overnight lows will be a few degrees cooler; some outlying areas will dip below freezing.
