The weather forecast is still on the fence on if we’ll have a white or just wintry mix Christmas next week. Higher temperatures and drizzles have washed away much of the snow, leaving a damp gray feeling across the city. Temperature highs are expected to stay in the mid-30s this weekend before plummeting back down Monday and Tuesday and then giving us a bit more warmth again Christmas day.

Despite the slightly warmer temperatures, today’s forecast calls for a mess of precipitation in various forms. See that sliver of sun in the photo above? Don't expect to see any in person this weekend. Expect a foggy morning with patches of light rain that might freeze on some surfaces. Sleet could be mixed in as well in some areas. More clouds in the afternoon as the rain/sleet combo continues, changing to wet snow later this evening.

The forecast calls for less than an inch of wet snow, so don’t count on waking up to a dusting of the white stuff blanketing the city Sunday morning. If you are traveling today, expect possible delays in some areas. If you are not traveling today, might we suggest staying inside with a hot beverage instead?
